Welcome to THE CHOIR OF MAN- the best night in your local you’ve ever had. It’s a party, it’s a concert, it’s a lock in like no other. Featuring breath-taking reinventions of chart topping hits from artists including Guns’N’Roses, Fun!, Adele, Avicii, Paul Simon, Sia and many more, THE CHOIR OF MAN has something for everyone!
The multi-talented cast of nine guys combine beautiful harmonies and foot-stomping singalongs with world-class tap dance and poetic meditations on the power of community. This is a riotously feel-good homage to that gathering place we’ve all missed so much over the last year: the pub. With a real working bar on stage, come ready to drink in the action!
The Choir of Man doesn’t have a storyline but it does have a message, and in a show that is based around a male choir set in a local pub isn’t that enough?
The fictional setting of The Jungle traditional pub provides the backdrop for our cast of friends to meet up and sing in their pub choir, and it’s hit song after hit song from across the decades from there on out! The entire cast has incredible vocal talent and the way they interact with the audience throughout is sure to win over the stiffest of mid-week crowds. Despite the large stage, the way the characters address the audience makes it feel like a much more intimate space. Oh and keep an eye out for the violinist dancing with a pineapple!

It’s a show that’s great to see with friends if you want a show you can sing along to and get swept up in (yes they encourage it!). Yet at its centre there’s an important message of male friendships, looking out for each other and avoiding the trappings of toxic masculinity that are usually present in these spaces. It ends up being surprisingly heartfelt, there’s a feeling of genuine care and companionship.
What it lacks in plot The Choir of Man makes up for in high-energy fun and a feel-good factor so grab a pint and head down to The Jungle for a mighty sing-along!
